Established in 1980, Resident Lenders of North Carolina is a non-profit state trade association for consumer credit companies and supporting vendors.
About Us
Resident Lenders of North Carolina is a non-profit state trade association for consumer credit companies and supporting vendors. The independent consumer finance industry provides a valuable source of credit to North Carolina citizens. Regulated by the North Carolina Commissioner of Banks and subject to a variety of federal regulations, traditional installment loans are a safe and affordable way to borrow for NC residents.
Our Members
RLNC members pride themselves in personalized customer service and fair lending practices. Our general members consist of consumer lending companies focusing on both direct loan lending and sales finance. Within sales finance, the primary focus is on automobile financing. Operating more than 300 branch locations within the state, RLNC’s general members are local business owners employing and serving fellow North Carolinians in communities across the state. Our members protect consumers by offering well regulated and easy to understand services, adhering to our Code of Ethics, and by preserving access to local credit options. Our associate membership consists of a variety of businesses that support general membership.
Our Events
RLNC holds two conventions a year, one in the summer and one in the fall, that provide opportunities for showcasing the services of our associate members, networking, as well as speaking opportunities during our educational sessions dealing with critical topics impacting the industry both in North Carolina and on a federal level.
